Y'know what this is really a very nice little light. China-direct goods are often hit and miss but this is a real winner if you need a good task light and the features suit your needs. I wanted something smaller than the usual similar task lights, and what sold me on this is the adjustable color temperature - that is so nice to have and is incorporated beautifully in this lamp. I almost ordered it directly from China (same light and price but with a single alligator clip coming from the front of the clamp), but saw this available on amazon and thought it would do, plus easy returns if need be. I've only had time to play with it for one day but I'm very impressed, one of the best purchases I've made in awhile. The clamp is pot metal but looks well molded and plenty strong enough. The threads are decent but I'd recommend paying attention while assembling. The table-contacting surface has a pad of thin foam, nothing on the clamp surface but I will probably add a similar foam or piece of silicone sheet. The light has three temperatures, coming on at first in the typical harsh cold white that we (unfortunately) see on most LED products...guessing around 6500K temp, fairly bluish tinge. A press of the button switches to a very rosy warm color probably around 3500K. From reading elsewhere, it seems that each of these modes uses half of the emitters (so 21 each, 42 total in the lamp). Switching a third time gives you a beautiful natural white around 5000-5500K temperature that is just excellent for color rendition and ease of viewing - it's perfect. This mode uses all of the LEDs and pulls more power...lamp gets a little warm but not bad and certainly not too hot for longevity of the emitters (so it seems anyway). The emitters are covered by a nice frosted lens - clean output with very even light, no shadows or irregularities. The 10 brightness settings are pretty fine steps, which is a good thing. At full brightness it's plenty bright for almost any work I can see myself doing and for soldering I will most likely bump it down a few steps to lessen glare/reflection. It seems to provide plenty of useful light output for any position/distance that the head can be adjusted to (on the cold temp setting and lower power levels it gets a little anemic but that is to be expected). The only two niggles I have are that the base threads need a little better support in the clamp (I will put on a thin fender washer or something soon) and the exit point for the USB power cord could use a better strain relief piece than the rubber grommet it has, so just be careful with that as you use it I guess. The magnifier is pretty clear but just typical average optical quality. I'm unable to use it while soldering just due to focal distance, but it should come in useful for inspection of solder joints and chip identification and other items. This is quite a bit smaller than the usual round task lights that we've all seen, so keep that in mind. Really a great buy, glad I found it...sure hope it holds up over time but I see so little to complain about.

Very disappointed in the size. There are no dimensions stated, but the package dimensions said 10 inches. Actual size is 2.5 inches. I will be returning as the magnifier is far too small for my purpose.

I used the light once and it no longer works. I don't recommend this product.

Works great. Makes diamond painting easier as you can get close up if needed with good light. But it's not so bright that it causes glare. Definitely recommend.

The magnifying light was smaller than I expected. It worked fine and magnified to a decent clarity.Seems like a good light to work on small projects.

I like all the features that this lamp has every easy to use and great magnifying glass too.

This light really suck ballz. Do not buy...save your money...its a cheap Chinese piece of crap!
