Nice shorts, true to size and a good price for the material as they feel high end. Quality zippers and fabric. These are a good alternative to Vuori and some other premium brands.

I'm writing this review for those of you wondering if these are similar to the chubbies everywear shorts. I'll do a more in depth comparison, but from a high level they are extremely similar! There are a couple differences between them highlighted below. I have also included several pictures with direct comparison to actual chubbies which are my favorite shorts that I've been wearing for the past year or so. I snagged these up on prime day looking for a much cheaper alternative to my favorite chubbies shorts. These are super close for a fraction of the price.Biggest differences; maamgic is slightly longer (more material) overall despite having a half inch shorter inseam. Maamgic has also added a couple features not on the chubbies; metal tips on the drawstring, small key ring/loop on the front right belt loop, an additional 'change' pocket sown into the front left pocket. Maamgic also uses 90% polyester and 10% spandex, where chubbies is 89% polyester and 11% elasthanne.Minor differences; I would also say the threads and seams are a little more noticeable and visible on the maamgic depending on the colorway you choose. They only have one color for the drawstrings of the maamgic, if that matters to you. The chubbies have a slightly softer feel to them and less shiny looking, this could be that I've washed and been wearing the chubbies for awhile where I just got the maamgic shorts. The maamgic comes with a small elastic cord attached to the rear zipper pocket. There is also a slightly different tint to the similar colors of each brand just based on the materials they use.Maamgic pros; price ($37 difference), slightly longer overall, added belt loop key ring, metal drawstrings tips, added 'change' pocket inside front pocket, great basic colorways.Chubbies pros; name brand, slighter higher build quality (threads, seams, material & zippers etc) and overall softer feel, cool names for, along with, more colorways and patterns, both 6 inch and 8 inch inseam options.So if you're looking for a much cheaper alternative to chubbies everywear shorts, this is it! I plan to buy several in the colorways I'm missing from chubbies. I can't comment on the long term use of the maamgic compared to chubbies but I hope they hold up and last just as long! I’ve worn these shorts a handful of times now and they’re quickly becoming my go-to for warm days. The material is lightweight and dries fast, which is great for beach days or just running errands in the heat. The length is perfect (I got the 5” inseam for a more modern fit) and they don’t ride up or feel tight when I sit.The pockets are solid and I love that there are multiple, but the drawstring could be a bit more secure—it feels a little flimsy, especially after washing. That said, the elastic waistband holds well on its own.Overall, great value for the price and I’ll probably order another color.

I got these shorts kinda last minute for a summer trip to Disney but can see I will wear them a lot. They’re super comfy, light fabric so not hot in the summer heat, and the inseam is actually perfect for me not too short, not too long (I am right near 6 foot tall). I was worried they’d look weird but they actually fit really well and look clean. They’ve got a bunch of pockets too for holding my phone and wallet. They just feel good and look good so good value for the money.

Bought for my son, who has to wear khaki shorts to school everyday. He likes the performance material these provide. Easy to wear, easy to wash.

Really great pair of shorts - not too long, not too short. Seem to be very well made, metal ends on the drawstring is a really nice touch! Hold up very well in the wash too, they rival my Oakley shorts and were 1/2 the price. Bought 4 pair!

Very comfortable shorts. Greta quality, great color, and great fit. They are lightweight and breathable. I would purchase more colors in the future!

I got the shorts on time as promised. Seem to be nice shorts with a nice fabric. I have yet to wash and wear but did try them on...the 3 star rating is because as others have stated....for a 5 inch inseam they seem to nearly hit my knee caps. While I am old if early 60's is that.....I am old school when MEN wore daisy dukes even in sports. I want those shorts that are the length of 70's John McEnroe tennis shorts! Not knee knockers. So these will only be worn maybe on an occasion we go to an outdoor seating restaurant and I can dress them up a bit. But otherwise...they are not shipping what you order in length. Sizing was fine. I do question if the zipper will hold up because it seemed to be a bit thin and flimsy but will see.
