I was afraid I would not be able to find a needle for my 43-year-old phono. I was very happy to find this company with exactly what I needed. The needle arrived 3 days sooner than expected.

The media could not be loaded. Although I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised with the clairity and fullness of this Stylus. So glad to have my Pickering XSP/3003 Cartridge up and running again.. And at 1 Gram. 2 Grams with Brush on.I ended up using my original Brush, the replacement seemed to be a little noisy. The original is made out of horse hair.. A little softer. Other than that, I would've given it 5 stars.

I bought this for my Pickering XSV to take some wear and tear off my precious nude original Stereohedron tip stylus. For those in the know, their stylus design is almost magical in how good it sounds. It arrived in a timely fashion and all that. No issue with seller at all.My observations are as follows. First of all take the brush and throw it away. The alignment is off and it imparts noise as the bristles are short and stiff. If you need a brush, find an original. I installed the stylus and set tracking to 1gm. The suspension is VERY compliant. Footfalls are no issue with this stylus, just tread somewhat lightly within reason. Initial listen was pretty satisfactory except some high end distortion. 2 problems are causing this for me. 1, the cantilever is longer than the original so my alignment is off at the 2 null points. I can't realign this cartridge/stylus as the terminals will contact the PCB and the rear of the headshell. The other is the vta is WAY off. The flat "foot" or the cantilever isn't shaped correctly so the diamond is canted forward. This can't be good. Anyways, it's ok if you want to save original stylus for special occasions, but this will not replace an original Stereohedron but what do you expect for such a low price. I will update if they offer replace it.

Great product. I was afraid it would not have the same sound quality as my original Pickering D-3000 stylus (from the 80s) but it was the oposite. This stylus gave a better sound than the original Pickering. Before when I switched between Phono and FM radio had difference in the volume where phono volume was much lower than radio. Now with this new stylus both phono and FM radio are about the same volume.I just ordered a second one to keep as spare for the future.I recommend it as a replacement for the Pickering D-3000 stylus.
