Perfect for home entertainment
I bought this Sony 55" X90L for my bedroom, and it's the ideal size. The picture quality is simply stunning—clear, bright, and vivid thanks to the XR Contrast Booster and XR Triluminos Pro technology. Whether it's movies, TV shows, or family game nights, the colors and detail truly bring everything to life. Even standard HD content is beautifully upscaled to 4K!What I love most is how seamlessly it integrates with my Alexa setup. I’ve paired it with two Echo Dots as left and right speakers, and the stereo effect is fantastic—makes me feel like I’m in a mini home theater! The Google TV interface is user-friendly and packed with features, plus it’s ready for gaming with HDMI 2.1, 4K 120Hz, and VRR support. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the purchase. It has exceeded my expectations in every way!Highly recommended for anyone looking for premium entertainment in a mid-sized room.

Almost makes watching TV an experience lol
I recently upgraded to the 65" Sony Bravia X90L, and I couldn't be more impressed! From the moment I set it up, the picture quality blew me away. The full array LED display delivers vibrant, crisp colors with deep blacks and excellent contrast. Watching movies in 4K is an entirely new experience—details are sharper, and the colors pop in a way I’ve never seen before. The X90L's processing power is remarkable as well. Motion is smooth, even during fast-paced action scenes, thanks to its Motionflow XR technology. I also noticed the improved viewing angles, so no matter where I sit, the picture stays consistent. The integration with Google TV is seamless and easy to navigate. I love being able to control everything with voice commands and access my favorite streaming services without any lag. Plus, the sound quality is excellent right out of the box, but it also supports Dolby Atmos for an even richer experience if you connect external speakers.Overall, the Sony Bravia X90L offers an exceptional balance of performance, design, and features. If you're looking for a top-tier 4K TV that delivers on both picture and sound, this model is well worth the investment!

This a fantastic TV for the money.
I liked everything about this SonyTv. It’s large, it has a great picture and was super easy to set-up. The delivery team, brought it in, unpacked it and set it up for me. I did the rest. Love it!

Great picture. Nice light-powered remote. No built-in Chromecast.
Very nice for the price paid (about $1200). The sound settings are a bit confusing -- somehow I had sound coming from both the connected amp and my earbuds.

TV is great. Amazon, not so much.
Caveat Emptor. The TV is wonderful. Great picture with a cinematic experience. HOWEVER...Amazon dropped the price $200 right after I ordered it. I asked about some kind of adjustment. I understand prices go up and down but it was a $200 price drop within the return period. They wanted to have me return the TV and order a replacement! They would come, take it off the wall, ship it back, send a replacement and mount it again (they would absorb the cost). I suggested we do a "paper return" where I generate a return, get the credit, order a new one, get the better price and the TV I have stays put. They couldn't do that. I was trained as an economist and my suggestion made sense in terms of saving time, effort (their) money, truck fumes, etc. FRUSTRATING!

Tried to like it...
I really tried to like this TV, but the S95B has definitely spoiled me... even after all the nerfs and downright bad updates. The X90L just doesn't hold a candle to an OLED in HDR content. The processing really does carry this TV though. The way it's able to focus on highlights with so few dimming zones is impressive. I was also very pleased with the motion and sharpening features.Unfortunately, it just doesn't do well enough. In darker content, especially anything with black bars, the image would look washed out in those scenarios. I tested only a few movies, but I really wasn't pleased with how dark HDR was and how it inherently forced the Sony to struggle. In SDR content, I was consistently blown away by the brightness compared to my OLED. It even came close in color, but it didn't have the deep reds that the S95B had.User interface: This was one of my biggest gripes with the TV. None of the menus and apps use your TV's settings or local dimming, so everything looks pretty bad unless you're playing content. Another problem I had was with the settings menu not saving my motion settings and also not having separate presets for HDR and SDR. I like to use DCI color for SDR and keep it on Auto for HDR, but I have to switch them back and forth every time. It also just feels kinda clunky sometimes.Sound: I have the TV set up on a table with the lowest feet adjustment, and all I can say is it sounds tinny... The speakers have almost no noticeable bass, even with it boosted in the EQ. The cinema mode was the best sound mode, but I would definitely recommend a sound bar. I personally use a pair of Jamo S803 bookshelf speakers with a Yamaha RV685 receiver (the receiver is definitely overkill). Also, the S95B murders this TV in the sound department too.So, my conclusion is that it's all right for the price. I didn't enjoy it that much for gaming, as my panel had pretty noticeable DSE, and it looked surprisingly blurry in motion, even for LCD standards. The SDR performance is great and almost eye-searingly bright, but HDR falls flat and doesn't give the contrast you need for most content. Demo content looks good, but movies/shows are typically mastered a lot darker and will show this TV's weaknesses. For what it offers, I think it should be less expensive, and from what I've seen in-store, the U8K is much better overall. I bought this TV because I wanted a 65-inch over my 55-inch and also wanted to see if the brightness would win me over, but the only time it's brighter is in SDR, and the S95B crushes it in HDR, no contest. I would recommend an S90C instead for HDR and gaming.

Gorgeous TV!
It’s crazy how Sony can make these LED TV’s look so good! I ditched my LG OLED for this. It’s that good. I was fed up with the dim, dull and lifeless picture of LG OLED, especially in game mode. The Sony X90L is so bright, vibrant and colorful, truly a joy to behold. The only downside to this TV would be the viewing angles, which is pretty typical for VA type LCD panels anyway. The design is really sleek! I did not expect that. The color/gamma calibration by default is fantastic as well on this TV if you switch to the “Custom” picture mode. Game mode also looks just as accurate without any need for calibration. All this at a pretty reasonable price for bigger sizes makes this a fantastic deal. I recommend it, especially for people on a budget.
